Julio Felix earned his 2,500th career win when he brought J. Pa home to victory in Saturday's eighth race. The first time he ever got a horse, it started walking and Julio fell off. He's been a lot more successful since then. Read more.
Grand Daddy Gets It Done in Forego Stakes

Trainer Mike Tammaro Dead at 57
Longtime trainer Mike Tammaro died Friday, Jan. 27, of a heart attack following a long illness. He was 57. A public memorial service is planned for Thurs., Feb. 2, at Turfway. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to CANTER Kentucky or another racehorse adoption agency of the donor's choice. Read more.

Turfway Returns to Saturday Afternoon Post
Beginning Saturday, January 14, Turfway will return to the traditional 1:10pm post time. The change ends a nearly year-long experiment to develop Saturday night racing. "We will continue to look for ways to . . . create new business," said Turfway's president and CEO, Robert N. Elliston. Read more.

Turfway Lowers Pick 4 Takeout
Effective January 1, takeout on Turfway's Pick 4 wager will drop from 22 percent to 14 percent, track president Robert N. Elliston announced Thursday. Turfway offers two or three 50-cent Pick 4 wagers each race day. Read more.
