FLORENCE, Ky. (May 1, 2018) – The best seat in the house to watch the 144th Kentucky Derby is 93 miles from the finish line, in the RaceBook at Turfway Park. The Northern Kentucky racetrack will host its annual Kentucky Derby simulcast and Party in the Paddock Saturday, May 5, including a free concert by Naked Karate Girls. Read more.
 

 

Hemp Hemp Hurray wins the Animal Kingdom StakesCHEERS FOR HEMP HEMP HURRAY IN ANIMAL KINGDOM STAKES
FLORENCE, Ky. (March 31, 2018) – Hemp Hemp Hurray romped in the 32nd running of the Animal Kingdom Stakes on a rainy closing night at Turfway Park, surging to the lead with barely a suggestion from jockey Julio Garcia and widening his advantage at will. It was 11 3/4 lengths back to Angaston in second and another 1 1/2 lengths to O’Malley’s March in third. Read more.

BLENDED CITIZEN STEPS TOWARD KENTUCKY DERBY WITH JEFF RUBY STEAKS WIN

FLORENCE, Ky. (March 17, 2018) – Trainer Mike Maker earned his second straight stakes win on the Jeff Ruby Steaks undercard when Three Diamonds Farm’s Go Noni Go took the DRF Bets Bourbonette Oaks (G3) by two lengths over In the Mood. Read more.

SKY FLOWER, ALTERNATIVE ROUTE AND CAMELOT KITTEN SCORE IN UNDERCARD STAKES
FLORENCE, Ky. (March 17, 2018) – Sky Flower was rambunctious enough in the post parade to drop her jockey but the 4-year-old filly was all business when it counted, taking the $75,000 Latonia Stakes at Turfway Park Saturday to earn her first stakes trophy. Read more.

Jockey Mitchell Murrill paid heed to earlier races on the Jeff Ruby Steaks card and guided Alternative Route to a 1 3/4-length win in the $75,000 Rushaway Stakes. Read more.
