Track Maintenance Schedule
The Gallop Master is run daily after training. The rototiller is run every other Sunday after racing. Use of the Gallop Master during races varies. November 30, 2008: Please check back.

Naming of Riders: Riders must be named by closing of entries.
Scratch Time: 9:00 a.m. ET the day prior to the race.
Also-Eligibles
If there are any scratches in a race with also-eligibles, the also-eligibles will be permitted to move into the race in order of their preference.

Trainers shipping to Turfway Park prior to 8:00 a.m. ET during adverse weather/road conditions may contact the Stable Gate at (859) 647-4883 to confirm early cancellations. After 8:00 a.m., please contact the Racing Office.

Racing Silks
Owners racing at Turfway Park must have their silks in the jockeys' quarters. Owners running more than twice in substitute (house) colors will automatically be charged a silk rental fee.
Grooms: All grooms in the paddock must be neatly dressed.
Pony Personnel and Safety Equipment
Personnel taking horses to the post in the post parade will be provided with saddle towels and are required to wear a white shirt and black helmet cover. All personnel on horseback must wear an approved safety helmet at all times. All jockeys, exercise riders, and pony personnel are required to wear an approved safety vest at Turfway Park.
Tattoo Billing Procedure
Owners' accounts will be billed $60 for each horse tattooed by TRPB Tattoo Technicians during Turfway Park's race meet. The owner's account will be reimbursed if the tattooed horse's first career start is at Turfway Park during the meet at which the horse is tattooed.
Turfway Park meetings are conducted under the supervision of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and are licensed by the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission. The rules of racing adopted by the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission govern all races under the auspices of Turfway Park.
