SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 4
Race 1
FREE AFRICA lost all chance last out when his saddle slipped and the rider lost his irons in the first turn. He drops in class today and his best makes him a winner at this level. STEEL THE REWARD also takes the class drop and will be running at the end. KEYSTROKE has only had one race and figures to improve.
Race 2
TOP SMOOCHER comes off a game front-running score. There is more early speed in against her today but she still looks best for hot trainer Shawn Murphy. KLEA didn't fire last out but is capable of a much better performance in here. QUEEN OF SCIOITO is good right now and likes this track.
Race 3
TETON MOTEL drops in class and has the speed to be on or near the lead throughout. He can win this one with Roman back aboard. SIR SHAUN was no match for a runaway winner last out but figures to be the one to beat today. POWER WOW is an invader from Hawthorne who has to be respected.
Race 4
GRAND PIANO MAN was overmatched last out but drops back in against non-winners of three today. He is capable of beating this bunch with his best effort. GHOST TIME has won back-to-back races since dropping to the bottom and figures to be tough with Lebron up. ABOVE THE CURVE is a contender.
Race 5
COLLYNS L ran poorly at Beulah but may not have cared for the sloppy track. She looks best on the class drop. PLAIN AND SIMPLE cuts back to a sprint distance and Lebron picks up the mount. FUTURE PROMISE is a definite contender.
Race 6
DANGEROUS DREAM was no match for a front-running winner last out but was well clear of the rest of the field in that one. She figures to be in good position right off the early lead and rates the slight edge over Open Water in a close call. OPEN WATER was extremely impressive breaking her maiden despite a very wide trip. Any improvement on that one makes her very dangerous. RAHY GIRL looks best of the rest.
Race 7
OCTOBER SONG just missed last out at this level and Orlando Mojica picks up the mount today. Give her the slight edge in a well matched field. BRUSHFIREFAIRYTALE drops in for a tag for the first time and is the one to beat. EJAY also takes the class drop.
Race 8
J. PA has been a steady performer in Chicago and the Hawthorne shippers are running well over this surface. He ran well over the Arlington strip last year and rates the edge in this starter allowance test. E T GO hooked some tough company in his last two and has the speed to be dangerous. SORDISA fits with these.
Race 9
CIRCUS CLOWN ran evenly to finish fourth in the Turfway Prevue and looks like a solid bet to win as he drops back in against maidens this afternoon. TRADEWATEER and DANCE IDOL are both runners from the Maker barn who always have to be respected.
Race 10: The WEBN Stakes
PHANTOM FURY wasn't asked for run when he drew off to win by 10 widening lengths in his first try around two turns. He will have to contend with a much tougher field today but the way he won suggested that he is capable of better. Give him the edge. MR. PRANKSTER was impressive winning the Turfway Prevue and a recent bullet work indicates that Maker will have him ready for another solid performance this afternoon. MAGICAL SEASON is also trained by Maker. He closed well to finish second to his stablemate last out and Lebron is back aboard.
Race 11
LORENZO'S FOREST rates the slight edge in this maiden claimer. INFILTRATE finished right behind the top pick last out and gets blinkers for the first time. KIRGHIZ is a contender.
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY
Race 1
LAST PRUNER showed improvement in her second start back after a layoff. She stretches back out to her favorite distance and rates the edge in a well matched bottom claimer. EDITORS RANSOM ran well at Oaklawn and Hawthorne and also handled the all-weather surface at Arlington. She could be tough to beat. NEON LIPSTICK will be running at the end.
Race 2
A GIANT FOR JESTER was beaten by a couple of these same runners in her debut but figures to improve off that effort. Give her the slight edge. MAMA DECIDES and LITTLE NIBLETS are both capable of winning.
Race 3
UP AND AWAY ran poorly in Tampa but may not have cared for the wet surface. The drop to the bottom and the move back to Poly should make her a winner today. ACACIAN SPIRIT disappointed last out as the favorite but is definitely capable of better. DEVOUCOUX could add value to the gimmicks.
Race 4
MISS ELIZA comes off an even effort against better and was a winner in her last start at this level. She looks like a good bet to handle this bunch for Romans and Lebron. DARLIN' DIANE drops to the bottom for the first time and figures to be the main competition. LADY LANNIS has the speed to be a contender.
Race 5
PELAGO faded after pressing the pace against better company going a mile. She is back in a sprint this afternoon and looks like a solid bet to get her maiden win with Arguello back aboard for Jimmy Baker. RIDE AROUND SALLY has finished behind the top pick in her last two races and looks second best. VAGABON DIVA has been off for 14 months but is in the capable hands of Dale Romans and has to be respected.
Race 6
CHARMING ENDEAVOUR was a beaten favorite last out but gets blinkers for the first time today. A return to her best form makes her a winner at this level. MR. LATONIA ran well to finish second last out and has to be considered. ROMAN ALONG is a contender.
Race 7
MY NEWFOUND SAINT failed as the favorite in his last start back in December but has had three solid works since then and should be ready for a winning effort today. MIDNIGHT LEGACY was no match for a runaway winner last out but ran gamely to finish second and is the one to beat. SHANNON'S BEAU is a solid contender.
Race 8
TIVOLI was never in contention last out in a race won by her stablemate. She should like the move back to a sprint distance and can be expected to run much better today. SIROCCO has been off since September but has been training well for her return. KNOW IN ADVANCE has had only one race and should improve.
Race 9
GLOBE TROT figures to be on or near the lead in this one and rates the slight edge with Mojica picking up the mount for Dale Romans. JELLY CABLE was overmatched against the likes of Great Hot last out at Del Mar. She has been idle since that start but is in much easier today and is definitely the one to beat. CITY OF TRIX is good right now and is a contender.
Race 10
SCARIFF ISLAND exits a key race where the top two runners have come back to win next out. He looks like a winner in the finale with Lebron back aboard. INDY RIDE figures to be the main competition. AWESOME RULES fits in here.
